Théla

Théla is an upcycling initiative that handcrafts products with discarded plastic, thus preventing plastic waste from filling landfills, polluting oceans and harming wildlife.

At the moment we work with discarded plastic bags, wrappers and sheets and the process is basically to convert the plastic into yarn (commonly known as 'plarn') before it is handcrafted. We use two craft techniques - crochet and weaving and the products are made by me in Athens and by ethical like-minded organizations in India.
